About Us
As friends and homeopaths that were looking for a way to further homeopathy and to work collaboratively, we were thrilled to see our friendship transform into a shared effort.
We each have strong ties to the Great Lakes region. Sally grew up in Detroit, Michigan and now lives in Buffalo. Carol lives in Toronto and spent early years visiting Buffalo. Pat is a recent transplant to Akron Ohio.
Sally Williams RSHom(NA), CCH, HMC
Sally is certified by the North American Society of Homeopaths, is certified in Classical Homeopathy by the Council for Homeopathic Certification and has her masters in clinical homeopathy through the Luminos School. She learned of homeopathy in 1986 while pregnant with her first son and soon decided to join a local homeopathic study group affiliated with the National Center of Homeopathy.
In 1990 she founded the Homeopathic Educational Society of Western New York which supported homeopathic educational programs in the region. She began her formal studies at the New England School of Homeopathy with Paul Herscu. She continued her education with Louis Klein in Boston MA and graduated with a Masters in Clinical Homeopathy in 1995. After her Masters she studied homeopathic philosophy with Jeremy Sherr and the Dynamis School in Toronto, Ontario and was awarded a diploma in 1997. She has continued her studies and is mentored by Lou Klein and Jan Scholten. She has also studied with Divya Chhabra, Rajan Sankaran and Massimo Mangialavori.
Sally is director of the Healing Arts Association of Western New York and is in her 20th year of private practice. She is an editor for Interhomeopathy, an online international homeopathic journal and has taught homeopathy at Erie Community College, University of Buffalo, Daemon College, and is on the faculty of the Baylight School of Homeopathy in Portland ME. Her passions are homeopathic provings, travelling, skiing and cross fit training. She is the mother of two grown sons and lives in Buffalo, NY with her husband, Robert.
Patricia Maher HMC, MSW
Patricia is a homeopath practicing in Boston, New York, and Ohio. She obtained her homeopathic training from Luminos Homeopathy under the tutelage of Louis Klein FS Hom. She has also studied with Jan Scholten. Homeopathy is her third career, having spent most of the last 30 years leading social change organizations while also maintaining an active practice as an astrologer. She also has a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
These strands join together in her work as a homeopath, in which she applies her understanding of the ways that social conditions affect our health as well as her insight into how one’s individuality is expressed through astrology. Pat practices Uranian astrology, a system developed by a German homeopath in the 1930’s, and she uses astrology as a tool in identifying homeopathic remedies.
A closet naturalist, Pat is an avid birdwatcher, amateur entomologist, and passionate observer of the natural world and the body politic. You can learn more about Pat and her practice at www.patriciamaherhomeopathy.com. She currently lives with her partner Rebecca in Akron Ohio where they are building a straw bale house.
Carol Jones DHom, HMC
Carol is a homeopath who has been in private practice in downtown Toronto since 1999. Before practicing as a homeopath, she trained and practiced as a Economist and as a Union organizer.
She trained for six years at the Toronto School of Homeopathy, the British Devon School of Homeopathy and did a two year advanced Master Clinician Course with leading homeopath Louis Klein, F.S. Hom. She has been part of the Bowen Island Retreat for ten years whose participants have become the core of her homeopathic community.
Carol regularly participates in the development and the proving of new remedies. Her current research concerns the connection between plant names and mythology. She thanks Jan Scholten for inspiring her practice and her research. She is dedicated to showing people that they can regain their health as well as balance in their lives without drugs, special diets or other treatments.
Carol enjoys finding unusual plants for her garden and hiking in the woods with her husband Reid and her dog Bear. She has been an avid figure skater and misses teaching sailing.
